Replace Porcelain Veneers

While porcelain veneers are very durable restoration and last many years, there can come a time when they need to be replaced. Replacing porcelain veneers is the same process as the original placement, and since they bond to the tooth and become just like your enamel, they cannot be popped off. Dr. Jeffrey Gilmor or Dr. Verena Phillips will shave off about half a millimeter from the front of the tooth. If that isn’t enough to remove all of the porcelain, the process will continue until all of the materials have been removed. After the old veneer has been removed an impression will be taken which will be sent to the ceramist to create your beautiful new smile. If you would like more information regarding dental veneer replacements, schedule an appointment with the Glen Dental Center in Glenview, Illinois today.
